Rani Mukerji and Kajol's family to celebrate Durga Puja 2021 virtually

As today marks the auspicious day of Mahalaya, it is the beginning of Durga Puja festivities around the world. However, sadly the lavish celebrations in the homes of our Bollywood celebrities will be different this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As in 2020, this year stars like Rani Mukerji and Kajol, who celebrate Durga Puja every year in North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja, would be opting for a low-key virtual event.

According to a report in Jagran English, following last year's rule, community members have decided to broadcast the bid live to avoid crowding of the pandal. A senior member told the news portal that only a few people will be allowed to enter the bidding facility with security in mind.

He shared that members would be assigned a specific time to visit the pandals, while seniors are advised to stay home. In addition to this, two hours have been allowed for the morning Anjali which will not include flowers. Sandhya aarti will also be finished in two hours.

Every year Bengali Bollywood beauties, including Kajol and her mother Tanuja, her sister Tanishaa, join in the festivities. Rani Mukerji is religiously photographed in the pandal with filmmaker Ayan Mukerji and her images become the highlight of the Durga Puja celebration in B-Town.
