Aryan Khan will request bail today; NCB detains street drug dealer in rave cruise arrest case

The Office of Narcotics Control arrested a drug dealer Monday in connection with the VVIP drug bust case in Mumbai.

According to ANI reports, a drug supplier was detained after a series of raids in Bandra, Andheri, and Lokhandwala, late Sunday and Monday night.

Earlier on Sunday, the NCB arrested the eight people who were detained in connection with the raid by the Mumbai cruise group. Three defendants, including Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan, Arbaz Seth Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha, have been sent into NCB custody by the Esplanade Court in Mumbai to this day.

Aryan Khan's defender, Satish Maneshinde, argued that the organizers invited their client to the event that was taking place on the cruise ship. "No incriminating material has been recovered from him (Aryan Khan). There is no possession or evidence of consumption," he said."Although the sections under which Aryan Khan has been booked are all bail crimes, I am willing to settle for NCB custody of one day so that we can apply for bail in ordinary court," Maneshinde added.

The star boy's bail hearing will be held today afternoon. Reports indicate that while Aryan was detained, nothing was found on him and therefore he was booked only on consumption charges.

The NCB said Sunday that it had evidence to show a nexus between the people it had arrested, vendors, and street drug dealers, in connection with the seizure of prohibited drugs aboard the cruise ship.

Other defendants Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Singh Chadha, Mohak Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra, and Vikrant Chhokar were arrested and will be presented in court today after their medical examinations.
