Mahesh Bhatt's "Arth" remake underway with Bobby Deol and director Revathi, producer confirms
Earlier this year, ETimes confirmed to him that Revathi was ready to direct a remake of Mahesh Bhatt's "Arth," but after the second wave of COVID-19 crashes, it was speculated that the project may have stalled. But, the film's producer, Sarat Chandra spoke to ETimes and confirmed that Revathi was still in charge. He said: “The movie continues with Bobby Deol playing the lead and Revathi is directing the movie. There has been a delay due to the pandemic and there were certain things in the script that people had comments on. We are making changes and Mahesh Bhatt Saab is also helping us with the project. "
Since the "Arth" story features prominent roles for the actresses, ETimes asked Sarat Chandra who she had in mind for the female leads. He revealed: "They are going to be established faces and they will hear the announcement very soon."
When asked if Revathi will start filming for "Arth" or for the other movie that has been recently announced, Chandra clarified, "It's just an announcement, but I'll talk about our shooting with Revathi."
