Jersey is an upcoming Hindi sports drama film written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, a remake of his 2019 Telugu film of the same title. It stars Shahid Kapoor as a cricketer, alongside Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur.The film is produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, Dil Raju, and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi.
The film's official announcement was made in October 2019 and principal photography began in Chandigarh on December 13, 2019 . It was scheduled to be released in theaters on August 28, 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic delayed production. The film was completed on December 14, 2020.The film will be released in theaters on December 31, 2021, coinciding with the New Year.
